I joined the chat late last night but thanks for much for doing that. You are by far the most accessible person that covers the M's from my perspective.

If you ever plan on coming down to the Inland Empire this summer to watch the young guys like Aumont, Pineda, etc. let me know cuz I'm in the area.

Thanks, guys. I try. I'm just one person, and I don't know everything -- and I've certainly been wrong about players in the past -- Jose Lopez, apparently Clement defensively, to name a few, but I appreciate the information I'm able to get and put together with my own opinions as I learn about scouting and player development.

I'm lucky to have a venue in which to express this side of myself.

Now if I could only find 8 hours to finish the damned book!

Jason, how were you wrong about Lopez? You thought he'd be better? Or worse?

I thought he'd be better defensively and would have had his 2008 offensive season in 2006, giving him a chance to be a better OBP guy in time.

The more you have, the better chance that one of them is good enough to stick. It's a good strategy, especially with the Delgado-Munoz-Lugo types. They have something you can't teach - velocity.
