2. By: Chris Crawford on 06-18-2010 18:24:02 Well there we go. I was holding out hope for Pulaski because I'm only three hours away.
3. By: Jason A. Churchill on 06-18-2010 19:12:07 The rosters, as of today, mean nothing, however. But Walker is much more likely to stay in Arizona.
4. By: Edman on 06-18-2010 19:37:03 One reason I like signing a High School kid with potential, is that you get them proper instruction right away, rather than having to undo what he may have been taught in college. A college program is short and doesn't consider the overall affects of pitching on his career. That's why some kids get abused because their programs are desparate to win. Walker will pitch in controlled enviroments.
5. By: mauricewilliamsiii on 06-18-2010 19:52:28 It would be cool if Walker showed enough to warrant a start or two close to home in the California League before the season ends.
6. By: Jason A. Churchill on 06-18-2010 20:34:16 That would not be wise, however, maurice. That league has done murderous things to the careers of many young arms. Rookie league him, he's 17, take it step by step. Chance at Clinton to start 2011, but not a sure thing.
7. By: Blowgun7 on 06-18-2010 20:34:36 Walker has no chance to sniff California.
8. By: Slurve on 06-19-2010 00:48:38 Poor Daniel Bard... Never knew what hit him.
9. By: dawgncarolina on 06-19-2010 00:49:18 Why stop there maurice? We should start him in Tacoma and call him up when rosters expand in September.
10. By: mauricewilliamsiii on 06-19-2010 23:53:24 I don't think one start in the last High Desert homestand, to give friends and family a chance to see it, will hurt the kid. If he is completely struggling or if he has been shut down no big deal don't do it.
11. By: DAMellen on 06-20-2010 00:58:39 What happened to Ackley? Why'd he leave today's game?
